WHAT IS A NATURAL LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHER?
As a natural light photographer, I only shoot using natural light...meaning daylight! Because of this, most of my sessions are outdoors where there is ample natural light! The only exception is newborn sessions, and with those, I make sure that wherever I'm shooting has plenty of windows with lots of natural light streaming in! I never use a flash or lighting equipment, and sometimes that surprises some people. While I know photographers who have perfected flash & can capture some amazing images with it, I prefer the soft, warm look that you can achieve when shooting only in natural light.
Another question I get pertaining to light is about the timing of my sessions. The timing of my sessions varies a bit throughout the year because of the the different seasons and different lighting conditions! I only shoot 'sunrise' and 'sunset' sessions...meaning that I shoot within two hours after sunrise or two hours before sunset! Early morning and evening are perfect for sessions, because the light is soft, glowy, and wonderful! The one exception I make for session times is, again, my newborns! Because we're typically shooting indoors for a newborn session, we need to make sure we're getting as much natural light as possible! Most of the time light is best indoors during the middle of the day.

Do you photograph Seniors, weddings, or Engagements?
Nope! I'm a motherhood & family photographer, which means I specialize in maternity, newborn, and family photography. So while I don't photograph seniors, weddings, or engagements, I have several very talented photographer friends who do! I would be happy to pass along their contact information if you're interested!
How far in advance should I book my session?
I only take on a very limited number of clients each month, because I want to ensure that each person I work with has an excellent experience. I am typcially booked out at least 3 months in advance, so if you know that you’d like to book a session, the sooner we talk, the better!
