Hi friends! I am so excited to be starting a mini blog series…my Friday Favorite! Each week I'm going to share one of my favorite things with you on Friday (through the month of February)! Maybe some of my favorites are your favorites, too! If so, let's be friends!! :)
Today's Friday Favorite is a new one for me…hot tea!! I have been a coffee girl since my semester of student teaching in college (I had to have some early morning caffeine with a bunch of fourth graders running around!) Skinny Vanilla Latte, anyone? I still love coffee…but I'm really starting to love tea! I recently discovered hot tea with cream and sugar…and now I'm thinking, "Where has this been all of my life?!" It. is. fabulous!
What are my favorite teas right now? Well, one of my favorite concoctions is called London Fog. It's Earl Grey Tea, half & half, vanilla extract, and sugar (or if you're me, Truvia!) It is comfort in a cup…seriously! I also really like Bigelow's Constant Comment and Orange & Spice Herbal Tea (a caffeine free option) with cream and sweetener.
You know what else is great about tea? All of the adorable tea cups & teapots that are used to serve it!! This Mackenzie Childs teapot (Can we just take a minute to note how all things Mackenzie Childs are gorgeous?! Southern girl at heart right here!) was gifted to us as a wedding present, and I am absolutely in love with it! So in love with it, in fact, that I don't even use it! HA! I don't want to damage it in any way, so it is a beautiful display piece in our home :)
I've been trying to figure out what turned me on to tea all of the sudden, and I think it might be the fact that Robert and I are planning a trip to Europe (England, Scotland, and Ireland, specifically) in 2016! EEEK!! I'm so excited!! I'm already starting to practice my tea etiquette & british accent!! Did you know that there is a certain way to STIR your tea that is the 'proper' way?! How cool is that? If you're like me and you love everything British, Here's an interesting article I found about Afternoon Tea Etiquette!
Are you a tea drinker?! What are your favorites? Please share! I'm always looking for new ways to have my tea! :)
Happy Friday everyone!
