Little Evelyn is probably one of the youngest newborns that I’ve photographed! I usually photograph newborn babies sometime in the first two weeks after they’re born. Often times the session date I plan initially with the parents has to be changed, because babies rarely arrive on their scheduled due dates! ;) So, I’m usually photographing babies when they’re anywhere from 7 to 14 days old! Miss Evelyn was just 7 days old when I met her, and she was so teeny and cuddly!
Just a few minutes after I walked into their home, I could tell that Christina and Thomas made an amazing team as parents! They’d only had their baby girl home for 7 days, and as first time parents, they already had things under control! They were so calm, full of joy, and helped each other soothe Evelyn, change her diaper, etc. I kept thinking, “Man, I hope Robert and I will be like this 7 days after our little guy arrives!" haha!
For sessions where there is only a newborn baby (and no older siblings) I typically let the baby set the schedule for our session! So, we started off with some lifestyle photos. Then after Evelyn was snuggled by her parents for a while, she got nice and sleepy, and we wrapped up her session with some baby only shots! She did so well, and I love how you can just feel the love and adoration from Christina and Thomas in these images! They make such a beautiful family!
Christina and Thomas, thank you so much for inviting me into your home and letting me capture this precious time for you! I loved meeting little Evelyn!
