Well, y'all...I meant to share this in January, but that didn't happen, haha! One of my goals for this year was to be more intentional with my time...to slow down, to be more content, & to spend quality time with my Robert, Jack, and Ellie Mae. The past few years have been a constant game of just trying to keep up & chase after the "next thing" ...and I'm tired. So, I looked for books that had a common theme-- intentional living.
I don't know about you, but I always love reading peoples' book lists, and I am (big time!) guilty of buying a few books off amazon and then sticking them on the shelf...for months (or even years)! So, this year I'm publishing this list in hopes that it makes me actually make time for reading...and in hopes that maybe it'll help someone else who is looking for some book suggestions, too! :)
- A Simplified Life - Emily Ley
- The Love Dare - Alex Kendrick
- Loving My Actual Life - Alexandra Kuykendall
- Cultivate - Lara Casey
- Nothing to Prove: Why We Can Stop Trying So Hard - Jennie Allen
- Present Over Perfect - Shauna Niequist
- Love & Respect - Dr. Emerson Eggerichs
- Chasing Slow - Erin Loechner
- The Magnolia Story - Chip Gaines
- The Life Giving Home - Sally Clarkson
I'm also planning to throw a couple of fun fiction books in here, too! :)
Do you have a favorite that isn't listed? I'd love more recommendations!
A few others that I've seen lately that I might add to the list:
- The Tech-Wise Family: Everyday Steps for Putting Technology in its Proper Place - Andy Crouch
- When Being Good Isn't Good Enough - Steve Brown
