I have been so excited to share this post! Back in July, I met up with Suzie & Joe for Suzie’s maternity session, and it was one of my favorite sessions to date! A couple of weeks ago I went back up to their adorable home in Blacksburg with Emily Yost to photograph their baby girl’s newborn session, and, of course, it’s another favorite!!

Even though baby girl Schmitt was just a few days shy of being a month old, she slept so well for us! She LOVED being swaddled and she was so, so snuggly! This worked out wonderfully, because we were able to put her in a bed of roses AND in a basket! Y’all, the images are beyond sweet!

Joe was able to pop over from work for a little while, and I’m so glad, because I absolutely love the shots that we got with mama, daddy, and baby!

Having friends who trust me to capture such a special time is an honor, and I’m so thankful to have been able to capture this precious milestone for Suzie & Joe!
